I know I’ve been using hip hop as the song of the week and writing about it a lot lately but that’s because it’s an exciting time in hip hop right now. If you listen to the radio you are probably missing out on some really great hip hop releases. I’m talking about releases from Common, Blu & Exile, and the most recent, Talib Kweli. Talib Kweli has had some mainstream success and has a devoted fan base, especially in the New York area. Every album put out by this talented MC have been near classics, whether it’s his joint effort with Hi-Tek Reflections Eternal, or solo efforts such as The Beautiful Struggle and Quality. His latest album, Eardrum continues to showcase his talents. The song I’m posting from his album is entitled “The Nature” and features Justin Timberlake. This song is a bonus track on the album, but it deserves to be released as a single. They lyrics, the beat, and even JT, make it one of the best on the album. If you are a fan of good music, pick this album up. Other notable features include Kanye West, UGK, will.i.am, Jean Grae, and Norah Jones. Production includes amazing beats by Hi-Tek, will.i.am, Kanye West, and Just Blaze.
